It’s hard to find a musician in Bloomington Indiana that hasn’t sat in or played with O2R. Brought together with a hunger for the Blues more than 25 years ago, the band plays a large selection of original songs with a tasteful mix of covers ranging from artists such as Little Milton, Champion Jack Dupree, J.J. Cale and many more.
In August, O2R had a blast performing at historic Bill Monroe’s Music Park for the “2022 Southern Indiana Blues Festival.” It was such an honor to be part of this incredible event! Checkout that lineup!

Over the years O2R has played many venues including the Slippery Noodle, the Bluebird, The Porthole Inn, Fairfax Bar and Grill, Four Seasons Inn, Liquid Lounge, and Bryan Park for the City of Bloomington Concert Series, hosted the Blues Jam back at The Fiddlers Green, which was later renamed Players Pub. O2R wants their audience to be musical pals who get into it, grooving to whatever music they pull out of their trick bag. With fearless leader Lee Van Buskirk on guitar, the reverend Ken Grooms on bass, Michele Brentano on keys, Spence Taylor on drums and diminutive dynamo Zain Mackey on vocals, you never know what O2R will play, but you can be sure that it will be a toe-tapping good time!
And oh yeah. O2R stands for Open to Ridicule” But the band is never deserving of that!
